Surface Mount Devices

Tyco Electronics Sigma is a specialist business offering the finest wound, multilayered and printed inductors, as well as through hole RF Chokes. Many electronic circuits require use of an inductor or noise reduction bead. Two functional areas are resonant circuits and chokes. Resonant circuits include oscillation, timing, peaking, wave shaping and the like. Resonant circuits include use of notch and bandpass filters based on the "Q" or quality rating of the device. For an inductor to resonate, both a capacitative and inductive element must exist.
The capacitance exists by virtue of an electrical charge between both ends of the device with the material between the two ledas acting as a dielectric separation between the plates of the parasitic capacitor. A high Q, tight inductance tolerance, and a stabe temperature coefficient is required, to provide narrow band, low drift circuits. A high Q provides sharply resonant characteristics. |

The Holco range of film resistors are available in four sizes, tolerances down to 0.02% and to TCR's of 5ppm/C. We supply any resistor value to two decimal places, high TCR resistors for temperature sensing in automotive and all on express delivery if needed. 08:05 and 12:06 SMD resistors down to 5ppmC and to 0.1% complete the range. |
